How the 240-hour transit works
Czech Republic passport holders can spend up to 10 days in China without a visa when — and only when — China is a stopover between two different places. The route must be A → China → B. Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan count as valid onward destinations, which makes itineraries like Czech Republic → Shanghai → Hong Kong perfectly eligible.
